Twisty
Hat
I love texture and when I saw this stitch on Pinterest I just knew it belonged on a hat. I don't know what the stitch is called so I called it a twist stitch. Yeah, I know, not very creative, but here it is.

stitch into the first stitch to connect making sure not to twist the work. Don’t
worry about the little gap, you will fix that at the end.
Row 2 : Ch 3, * FPDC in next
stitch, BPDC in next stitch*. Repeat until the end of the row. Slip stitch into
top of ch 3 to close.
Row 3-4 (5,

match to create ribbing)

TO FINISH
FO, thread yarn needle and alternate stitches through the top
of the last twist stitches and pull tight. Pull needle through to the inside of
hat and weave in ends making sure it is secure.
Thread yarn needle and return to the very beginning of the elastic
brim. Attach the first row together and weave in end.
You can add a pom pom if you choose. I haven’t decided which
way I like it better yet. Happy hooking.
